Job description
Responsibilities:
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain both our on-premises server infrastructure and our new Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Manage virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and cloud resources.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Support business-critical applications, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Administer and monitor backup and recovery systems, including on-premises backups and Veeam backup solutions for Azure VMs.
  • Ensure backup success and restore capabilities to safeguard business continuity.
  • Enforce IT security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
  • Manage user access controls, group policies, and authentication via Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
  • Monitor firewall logs, detect vulnerabilities, and respond to potential threats.
  • Maintain and optimize network infrastructure, including routers, switches, VLANs, and VPN gateways.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with external IT vendors (Helpdesk, Firewall, Azure MS Cloud, Applications, Intranet, Cloudflare, E-Commerce platforms).
  • Ensure SLAs are met and IT projects are delivered on schedule
  • Participate in IT transformation initiatives and process improvements.
Requirements:
  • A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in an IT support or systems administration role.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL are highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly Virtual Machines, networking, and security concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions; knowledge of Veeam is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with network administration, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non‑technical staff.
