Job summary

A leading trading company in Singapore is seeking an experienced trader with at least 3 years of iron ore trading experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong familiarity with different iron ore products and be able to develop trading strategies that align with steel mill profitability. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required, and Cantonese is an advantage. This role also demands knowledge of integrated trading models and international industry regulations.

Job description

• At least 3 years of iron ore trading experience with large steel mills or trading companies, with a good reputation in the industry.

• Strong familiarity with various iron ore products; able to independently propose trading strategies based on steel mill profitability and regional supply-demand dynamics, and convert them into actual profits.

• Well-acquainted with upstream mining companies, with the initiative and capability to develop upstream supply channels and commence business rapidly.

• Experienced in integrated spot and derivatives trading models; able to flexibly utilise futures, swaps, and options to optimise hedging strategies, actively trade within authorised limits, and achieve annual profit targets.

• Familiar with international industry policies and regulations.

• Fluent in Mandarin and English; Cantonese proficiency is an advantage.
