Job summary

A prominent HR advisory firm in Singapore is looking for an Inventory Controller to oversee inventory management and ensure accurate records. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the logistics or supply chain industry and a relevant diploma or degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central are preferred. This role involves leading yearly stock takes, administering purchase orders, and developing operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in inventory management or related field.
  • Experience with valves, pipe & fittings is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus.

Position title: Inventory Controller
Location: Nearest MRT: Boon Lay
Working Days: 5 days Mon - Fri
Working hours: 8:30am -5:00pm
Salary: $3000 - $4000

Job Description
  • Oversee inventory management
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
  • Maintain and monitor closely on monthly safety stock level to cater to order requests
  • Lead yearly inventory stock take
  • Ensure sales team are using the correct item codes
  • Review and monitor products for discrepancies troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
  • Analyse product sales, stock turnover rate and inventory level
  • Prepare, generate, and file inventory reports to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and reduce operations costs
  • Administer purchase orders and payment process while working together with finance team on payment issues
  • Liaise with forwarder or courier service to plan shipping schedules accordingly to fulfil orders
  • Perform other and ad-hoc duties & responsibilities as assigned by the by the Superiors
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma / Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management industry or related discipline
  • At least 5 years working experience in a related field
  • Experience in valves, pipe & fittings
  • Proficient in Ms Words /Excel / Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central system is a Plus
