Job summary

A healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse to manage infection control activities at healthcare sites. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Nursing, at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, and formal training in infection control. This role involves supporting infection control programs, conducting audits, and providing training to healthcare staff. Office hours apply, with no shift or night duties.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Nursing with 2 years’ relevant clinical practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Formal infection prevention and control training or appointment as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse.

  • Support the implementation and execution of the Infection Prevention and Control Program.

Job description

Support the implementation and execution of the Infection Prevention and Control Program.

Plan, implement, manage, and evaluate infection control activities at healthcare sites.

Conduct quality control audits on infection control and risk assessments.

Provide advice and training to facilities on prevention, transmission, infection control and appropriate precautions/ assessments.

Work with infection control doctors, nurses and microbiologists on outcome of disinfection being carried out.

Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures.

Identifies, investigates, and reports healthcare facility onset infections, outbreaks, clusters and risk of infection among patients, staff and equipment through ongoing surveillance and rounds.

Provides advice on infection prevention and control related matters in accordance to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Nursing with 2 years’ relevant clinical practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Formal infection prevention and control training or appointment as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse
