About the Role
We are looking for an innovative and driven Industrial Engineer to work on warehouse automation and material flow optimization projects in a semiconductor front‑end equipment manufacturing environment. This role will transform our traditional warehouse operations, enhance the flow of materials to the production floor, and collaborate with suppliers to redesign external packaging solutions for better space utilization. A strong focus on ergonomics, safety, and regulatory compliance is essential to ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with cross functional team on warehouse automation initiatives, including evaluation, design, implementation, and ramp‑up of solutions such as ASRS, AGVs/AMRs, conveyors, and automated tracking systems.
- Perform risk/ergonomic assessments of warehouse and material‑handling activities; propose solutions that reduce physical strain, repetitive motions, and high‑risk tasks.
- Integrate safety considerations into automation and warehouse layout designs to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct data analysis, time studies, process mapping, and simulations to identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze and redesign material flow routes from warehouse to production to reduce lead time, improve efficiency, and support JIT or kitting models.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement new/improved systems and processes.
- Redesign crates and external packaging to improve warehouse storage density and handling ergonomics.
- Work with external suppliers to implement improved crates/external packaging to minimize re‑packaging in warehouse.
- Drive Lean/continuous improvement projects and track performance covering key operational metrics, safety, ergonomics, and efficiency.
- Develop SOPs, project documentation, and training materials for new processes/equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in warehouse automation, material handling engineering, or operations engineering.
- Knowledge of automation technologies (AGV/AMR, ASRS, WMS/RFID/barcode systems).
- Experience with ergonomics assessments and implementing safety improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
Preferred/Good to have
- Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or training.
- Familiarity with local safety regulatory frameworks and ergonomic evaluation tools.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers for packaging or crate redesign.
