Job summary

A confidential organization located in Singapore is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage monthly payroll processes and ensure compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate holds a Degree or Diploma in HR Management or Business Management and has at least 1 year of experience in payroll processing. Key responsibilities include maintaining payroll records, addressing employee inquiries, and assisting in onboarding processes. This role requires strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of local payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The role
Key responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll related activities including calculation of gross and net pay, deductions, and other payroll-related adjustments, claims reimbursement
  • Ensure accurate and compliant payroll tax and statutory contributions
  • Liaise with employees to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records and documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and analysis
  • Interface with HR customers handling payroll queries
  • Support billing operations such as customer billing
  • Ensure billing timeliness and accuracy.
  • Manage onboarding and new hire and offboarding process (preparation of agreement, negotiations of benefits, involvement in work pass applications)
  • Work closely with customers to handle employee related issues which encompass counseling, grievances process, disciplinary and termination
  • Follow-up on staff renewal, performance, etc.
What we're looking for
  • Degree / Diploma in HR Management / Business Management with minimum 1 year of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
  • Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of local payroll regulations and statutory requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
