Overview

The Role: HR & Admin Manager

This position reports to the CEO. He/She will be responsible for strategizing human resources functions & activities, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, in order to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full spectrum of HR functions (payroll, benefits, employee engagement, performance appraisals etc)
  • Understand the business model of an education service provider, business plans (including expansion), strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats.
  • Build relationships with company’s leaders/directors via regular communications and discussions.
  • Find out what the leadership cares about and how HR can help them to achieve their goals.
  • Develop a HR strategy to ensure adequate people with the right skills, the right behaviors, and the right attitude to achieve the company’s strategic plan (growth, marketing, new outlets etc).
  • Plan, develop, implement HR programs that solve business problems and directly contribute to long-term business objectives.
  • Critical evaluation of problems and influence the stakeholders to arrive at suitable decisions.
  • Identify and overcome challenges in recruiting and retaining employees – who we need, where they are and how to attract them; develop recruitment strategies by researching competitors’ pay and branding.
  • Analyze and propose improvements to branding, workforce diversity, data protection, learning, and performance management.
  • Develop a compensation strategy and develop plans relating to competitive pay, benefits, pay for performance and recognition.
  • Develop HR reports and metrics that meet leaders’ requirements.
  • Develop employee handbook and HR policies/procedures.
  • Serve as a consultant to the top management on problem solving for HR issues.
  • Network, build teamwork, be credible and provide excellent service for the employees.
  • Get employees to live up to company’s vision, mission and values via leadership’s behaviors, corporate social responsibilities actions.
  • Assist in external financial audit (payroll).
  • Oversee general administration, facilities management, housekeeping, reception and sales administration.
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in business or human resources
  • At least 1 year of HR leadership experiences and 3 years of HR generalist experiences
  • Possesses business acumen to understand business operations, logistics, sales and marketing
  • Possess leadership and influence
  • Possess HR expertise in respective domains (compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations/engagement, learning and development, performance management) to implement HR strategies effectively
  • Global and cultural effectiveness – being open mind, cross cultural communication and diversity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of education-related financial regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
