Qualifications

• Operate vacuum furnaces to perform heat-treat and brazing operations.
• Maintain heat-treatment logs for all furnaces and parts.
• Perform inspections and adjustments for production compliance.

Job description

• Operate vacuum furnaces to perform heat-treat and brazing operations.
• Maintain heat-treatment logs for all furnaces and parts.
• Perform a variety of duties to inspect, plan, set up, mask, and spray parts to meet production requirements.
• Mask and/or grit blast parts to prepare for coating.
• Use judgment in determining proper flow and speed of spray for the best results and compliance with all specifications.
• Use various instruments to measure incoming and final coating thickness after plasma spray.
• Perform TPM check on machines.
• Operate Multi-coat and 9MC plasma machines, spray Plasma, HVOF, Flame and TAFA coatings and troubleshoot and replace gun spares when necessary.
• Learn and operate other shared services operation such as Water Jet, Shot-Peen and Glass Bead Peening operation.
• Update Plasma log-book and prepare lab coupon submission form.
• Follow work instructions, comply with all quality requirements and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area.
• Complete production paper work and systems transactions.
• Operate Stacker to move Heat Treat fixtures, Chemical Containers, Waste IBC tanks & coolant/oil drums and blasting media in pallets.
