Head of Sales – Freight Forwarding

Job Description

The Head of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base for our client, a 3PL specialising in marine logistics, project cargo, and oil & gas logistics. This role leads sales strategy, key account management, and business development within Singapore and the region, working closely with operations to deliver integrated logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for marine logistics, vessel-related services, project cargo, and oil & gas logistics.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with ship owners, operators, EPCs, oil & gas companies, and project clients.
  • Manage and grow key customer accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Lead pricing, tender submissions, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
  • Work closely with operations, marine agency, warehouse, and project teams to deliver feasible and competitive solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities in the marine and energy logistics sector.
  • Build and mentor the sales team, setting targets, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and networking sessions.
  • Ensure sales activities comply with company policies and commercial guidelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in logistics sales, ideally with strong exposure to marine logistics, project cargo, or oil & gas logistics.
  • Proven track record in business development and key account management.
  • Strong industry network within marine, offshore, EPC, or energy sectors.
