We are hiring a Head of Product & Strategic Communications to lead communication and documentation across internal cross‑functional teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
1. Product Documentation
- Lead technical documentation and user enablement materials for all products and platform features — ensure new feature development, changelogs, and onboarding flows are up‑to‑date and structured — by working closely with tech & product teams
- Lead the creation and management of low‑level technical documentation, including schema references, API docs (if applicable), backend workflows, and infrastructure diagrams—bridging the gap between product and engineering.
- Manage UI/UX designer(s) and oversee design handoffs, documentation, and continuity from product discovery to go‑to‑market delivery.
- Ensure design and documentation output aligns with broader product marketing and customer education goals.
2. Product Marketing
- Own the end‑to‑end GTM comms for new product features and updates—bridging product, ops, and commercial messaging.
- Translate technical features into business outcomes for customers, partners, and investors.
- Manage external channels and comms agencies for social media, press, and media alignment—ensuring our messaging reflects our innovation and operational leadership.
3. Internal Communications
- Drive internal visibility and alignment across teams through structured communications (standups, sprint planning summaries, key decisions, company updates, product launch briefings, etc.)
- Work with team to build AI‑powered scalable documentation standards and tooling integrated with retrieval and LLM‑powered workflows;
- Creating a self‑serve documentation and comms layer that reduces ops burden, increases speed, and scales trust.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years professional experience in creating and maintaining technical product documentation (e.g. user onboarding guides, API documentation, change logs, etc.) in tech or SaaS environments; and ideally product marketing & external comms as well
- Familiarity with developer documentation tools and basic diagramming tools (e.g., Miro, Figma).
- Ability to work closely with engineers and product managers to understand complex features and systems.
