Job summary

A prominent HR management firm is seeking a legal counsel based in Singapore. The successful candidate will lead the legal team and provide expert legal advice on corporate mergers & acquisitions, commodity trading, and regulatory compliance. With at least 7 years of relevant experience, familiarity with legal environments in Southeast Asia is preferred. This role includes drafting contracts and liaising with external law firms, offering an exciting opportunity for seasoned legal professionals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal team according to management directives and business needs.
• Provide legal advice on matters related to commodity trading, overseas project development, and corporate mergers & acquisitions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to manage legal risks.
• Liaise with external law firms and coordinate domestic and international legal matters.
• Support management with other legal and compliance‑related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law.
• At least 7 years of relevant legal experience; prior exposure to corporate legal work or law firms is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and contract law, as well as international trade regulations; experience in M&A and legal matters related to engineering projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment in Southeast Asia is preferred.
