Reports To: Head Coach – Fitness
Works Closely With: Head of Exercise, Programming Manager, Personal Trainers, Allied Health, Operations, Community & Events

Role Overview

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you’re more than just a coach — you’re an educator, motivator, and community builder. You’ll deliver classes with intentionality, clarity, and compassion, aligning with MORROW’s ethos: to teach, inspire, and empower through movement.

Key Responsibilities
Class Delivery & Education
  • Facilitate high-quality group classes, incorporating alignment, breathwork, and mindful instruction into every session.
  • Ground each session in functional movement and longevity — linking today’s actions to tomorrow’s well‑being.
  • Educate participants during sessions — ensuring they leave with knowledge as well as results.
  • Provide safe, inclusive, and positive environments that reflect MORROW’s values.
Programming & Standards
  • Consistently execute MORROW’s pre‑designed programs with precision.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach and Programming Manager to share class feedback.
  • Track participant progress and relay insights for continuous improvement.
Member Care & Empowerment
  • Foster a welcoming environment to cultivate Positive Social Connection — one of MORROW’s six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine.
  • Recognise and refer members who may benefit from further one‑on‑one support with Personal Trainers.
  • Empower members to progress toward independence through coaching, education, and confidence‑building.
Team Contribution & Growth
  • Participate in instructor training, workshops, and team development sessions led by the Head Coach.
  • Be open to class audits, shadowing, and feedback to continuously refine delivery.
  • Embrace technology and precision training tools for better personalisation and member outcomes.
  • Model MORROW’s core values — Connection, Impact, Trust, and Empowerment — in every interaction.
Requirements & Certifications
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a group fitness instructor (e.g., functional training, strength, HIIT, yoga, Pilates).
  • Knowledge of functional movement, alignment principles, and injury prevention.
Certifications (Singapore‑Recognised)

Candidates must hold fitness certifications accredited or recognised in Singapore, such as:

  • Sport Singapore–accredited Fitness Instructor Certification (FIC)
  • ACE Certified Personal Trainer (via FIT Asia’s accredited program)
  • NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (via NSCA Singapore)
  • Basic Exercise Science (BES) or equivalent recognised under the National Registry of Exercise Professionals (NREP)
  • Registration with NREP and Safe Sport certification are highly desirable
