Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacturing


• Position Title: Grinding Machinist


• Working Location: Ubi


• Working Hours: 6 days (Mon – Sat, 8.00am – 4.00pm)


• Salary Package: Basic salary + Housing Allowance + Fixed allowance + OT + Performance bonus (Quarterly)


• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding and surface grinding machines.


• Perform milling and grinding for mold-making and plastic injection inserts.


• Read and interpret engineering drawings.


• Use surface grinding machines to meet high-precision specifications.


• Ensure manufacturing tasks meet the schedule and inspect finished pieces before the next process.


• Conduct preventive maintenance on machines.


• Inspect workpieces for quality.


• Improve machining efficiency to boost productivity and reduce costs.


• Achieve grinding precision up to 0.005mm.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Follow safety rules and maintain a tidy work area.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience with surface and form grinding machines.


• Preferably with a manufacturing background.


• Able to operate conventional grinding machines.


• Experience in precision engineering and interpreting technical drawings.


• Tool and die making experience is a plus.


• Able to work extended hours if needed.
