Job Title: Graphic Designer
Contract Period: 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2027
Working Hours
- Mondays to Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Rest Days: Service is generally not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
- Exigencies of Service: Personnel may be required to perform duties on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays based on service requirements.
Scope of Services
The Graphic Designer will collaborate with the School’s Publicity Team or designated representative to convert concepts and information into visually compelling outputs. The services include, but are not limited to:
Digital and Print Publications
- Design and layout for semestral school newsletters (digital and print).
- Development of social media content including static graphics, photo collages, and templates.
- Design visual elements for the school website including:
- Web banners and hero images
- Custom graphics, icons, and infographics
- Page layout mock‑ups
Video Content and Multimedia
- Edit and produce short videos and reels for events and publicity.
- Perform basic motion graphics, photography/videography, text overlays, and sound mixing.
Corporate Collateral & Branding
- Design banners, posters, signage, and event‑related marketing materials.
- Conceptualise and design certificates, plaques, trophies, souvenirs, and commemorative items.
- Create promotional items such as postcards, t-shirts, tote bags, and lanyards.
Illustration
- Produce custom illustrations for campaigns, publications, teaching materials, and website elements.
Deliverables
- Print‑ready formats (PDF for newsletters, banners).
- High‑resolution JPEG/PNG for digital usage.
- Editable design source files (AI/PSD/INDD formats).
- Edited video in social media‑compatible formats with project files.
- Original illustration files in vector or high‑resolution formats.
Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience with a strong portfolio in print and digital design.
- Proficiency in layout design, typography, photo editing, and video editing.
- Ability to create short‑form video content and basic motion graphics.
- Strong illustration skills with the ability to adapt styles to requirements.
- High attention to detail and consistency in adhering to brand identity (logo, colours, and fonts).
- Effective communication skills for understanding requirements, presenting ideas, and incorporating feedback.
Preferred
- Experience designing visual media assets for web platforms and school‑related materials.
