Our client is a established and rapidly growing food / ingredients organisation going through a period of considerable positive growth and change. The Global Head of Procurement reports to the CEO and leads and mentors a diverse team of procurement and buying professionals.

Responsibilities

• Driving strategy & long-term business planning
• Overseeing and executing all procurement activities across all categories, and instrumental in delivering the growth agenda
• Drive the Procurement strategy and plans across all categories to deliver against the business objectives, whilst also delivering the budget
• Drive continuous improvement across the business, creating and implementing best practice across the function
• Lead the sourcing cycle for buying, driving the negotiation process
• Supporting the team to negotiate all contracts with suppliers to achieve the most competitive pricing and strong availability across all Procurement categories
• Lead negotiation for all key suppliers
• Collaborate with supply chain and finance leadership to deliver against business plans

Key requirements

• Extensive commercial sourcing and procurement experience, ideally within food service, food ingredients, FMCG
• Experience managing both inhouse and outsourced models for procurement
• Proven capability to set category strategy and plans
• Financially and commercially astute, with experience of making tough decisions and prioritising positive change programmes
