About the Role

We are looking for a General Manager Operations to partner closely with the founder and lead the day‑to‑day running of the business. You will streamline operations, improve internal processes and build the foundation that allows Aunty to scale reliably. This is a hands‑on role suited for someone who loves creating structure out of ambiguity, improving workflows and using data to drive decisions. It is also a COO‑track role for someone who demonstrates strategic thinking, execution strength, people leadership and commercial judgment.

What You Will Do
1. Lead Daily Operations
  • Oversee and coordinate the day‑to‑day work across customer care, nanny operations, onboarding and payouts
  • Ensure service delivery runs smoothly and issues are resolved quickly
  • Improve workload planning, operational handovers and team rhythm
  • Maintain data accuracy across bookings, timesheets and nanny or sitter records
2. Streamline Processes and Drive Automation
  • Redesign manual workflows into clear, simple and repeatable systems
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and build solutions that reduce errors
  • Work with the founder, tech partners and team to improve and automate processes in the webapp
  • Create SOPs, documentation and checklists that strengthen operational reliability
3. Build Data, Reporting and Dashboards
  • Build, maintain and update dashboards or trackers for operations, bookings, utilisation, sitter payouts and customer metrics
  • Use Excel or Google Sheets to analyse trends and support decision making
  • Translate data into insights that drive productivity, revenue and customer satisfaction
4. Support Product and Tech Development
  • Help define business requirements for the Aunty webapp and internal tools
  • Conduct UAT, test workflows and ensure new features meet operational needs
  • Support the team in adopting new features or processes
5. Lead People and Team Performance
  • Support hiring, onboarding and training for ground staff and operations roles
  • Strengthen team communication, daily meetings and accountability
  • Guide the team through change and process improvements
  • Build a culture of ownership, commercial awareness and continuous improvement
You’re the Right Person If You
  • Have 2–5 years of experience in operations, general management, marketplace operations or service delivery
  • Enjoy improving workflows and building structure
  • Are strong in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Communicate clearly and work well with people at all levels
  • Can balance empathy with commercial discipline
