Overview

The General Manager, Leasing reports to the Head of Leasing and is responsible for overseeing leasing activities to drive occupancy, retention and rental income across a portfolio of retail properties. The GM leads teams of experienced leasing professionals, manages key tenant relationships and collaborates with Marketing and Operations teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and guide the leasing teams in execution of the leasing strategies to drive occupancy levels and retention.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective tenants.
  • Negotiate lease terms for new leases and renewals.
  • Prepare and monitor leasing budgets, forecasts and management reports on leasing performance.
  • Plan and implement tenant mix strategies aligned with mall positioning and shopper demographics.
  • Analyse market trends to identify leasing opportunities and for benchmarking.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Real Estate, Business, or a related field, with minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in achieving leasing targets and experience in leading multiple teams.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and leasing practices, supported by knowledge of real estate, leasing regulations and market dynamics.
