About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to lead the overall operations and business performance of MES Logistics (MESLOG). The incumbent will be responsible for the company’s P&L, strategic direction, operational excellence, and business growth, ensuring sustainable profitability and '"' +" operational efficiency across all logistics functions including transportation, warehousing, and customer service.

This leadership role requires a visionary professional with a strong background in logistics management, commercial strategy, and organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
  • Lead and manage the overall P&L of MESLOG, ensuring financial targets, growth objectives, and operational efficiency are achieved.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term business strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Identify business opportunities to expand market share, enhance service offerings, and improve profitability.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance tracking.
Operations Management
  • Oversee all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and supply chain coordination, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery of services.
  • Establish and implement operational policies, systems, and procedures to ensure optimal performance and service quality.
  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Manpower Planning & Leadership
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team across logistics, operations adrenaline and administrative functions.
  • Develop and implement manpower plans to support operational demands and business expansion.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture by coaching, motivating, and developing key talents and successors.
  • Oversee performance management, employee engagement, and staff development programs.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and business partners.
  • Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Represent MESLOG in business negotiations, partnerships, and industry engagements.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Uphold high standards of corporate governance, ethics, and workplace safety.
  • Provide regular operational and financial reports to senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 - 15 years years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in P&L management, business development, and strategic operations leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and business insight.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of logistics systems (e.g., Cutech WMS, Cutrack GPS, Nova Billing, etc.) and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, safety, and regulatory compliance in_System logistics operations.
Preferred Attributes
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent will be an added advantage but not compulsory, experience in lieu will be considered.
  • Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS, CILT).
  • Experience in digital transformation, automation, or continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen, or SixVit Sig;a).
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead change and drive business growth.
