To lead the business development and sales initiatives for the Elecon Group’s portfolio of products—including Material Handling Equipment, Underground Mining Machinery, and Power Transmission Products.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and strategic sales management capabilities to identify growth opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and build enduring customer partnerships across key industries such as cement, steel, mining in the countries like Mongolia, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia.
The incumbent will monitor market trends, analyze competitive activity, and provide monthly performance reports to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, profitability goals, and regional market share expansion.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, EPC contractors, and end-users.
- Promote and sell a comprehensive range of solutions for Material Handling Systems and Underground Mining Equipment along with Power transmission Equipments
- Assess customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate products, solutions, or customized configurations.
- Prepare and present technical presentations, detailed proposals, and commercially competitive quotations.
- Conduct site visits for application studies and technical support to ensure optimal customer outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with internal design, Project , and production teams to ensure project feasibility, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead contract negotiations, finalize commercial terms, and secure orders while nurturing long-term customer relationships.
- Monitor industry developments, market dynamics, and competitor activities, providing insights for regional strategy and product positioning.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, customer interactions, and project progress using CRM tools.
- Over and above manage day to day activities of office requirements like Admin / Commercial activities being a small operation .
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional certifications or advanced degrees in related fields will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum 17 years of experience in Sales & Marketing of Material Handling Equipment, Underground Mining Machinery, Power Transmission Products, or related industrial solutions.
- At least 10 years in a managerial role, with a proven track record of driving business growth.
- Experience in managing and executing industrial or engineering projects will be an added advantage.
- Local Singapore Citizen or PR preferred .
