Job summary

A prominent hotel in Singapore is seeking a Finance Executive to support its financial operations. The role includes assisting with month-end closing activities, managing bank reconciliations, and preparing reports. Candidates should have a diploma/degree in accounting and 3-4 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting, with familiarity in the hospitality industry being a plus. This position requires strong skills in SUN Accounting Systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with travel/tourism/hospitality industry.
  • Able to commit to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end closing activities and accurate postings of monthly journals.
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation timely.
  • Liaise with various departments on report submission.
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly reports as required.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Accountant, this role will be part of a cohesive team ensuring hotel’s smooth financial operations. On monthly basis, the role shall focus on supporting month-end closing activities, preparation of bank reconciliation as well as regular reports for submission to various stakeholders. On day-to-day basis, the role is expected to be liaising with various internal and external stakeholders on tasks related to Finance operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Actively support month-end closing activities including complete and accurate postings of monthly journals
  • Ensure that Bank Reconciliation is prepared on timely basis
  • Update and maintain Hotel’s Licences listing
  • Update and maintain Hotel’s Contracts listing
  • Administer the preparation of Gift Vouchers, update and maintain Gift Vouchers listing
  • Liaise closely with Accounts Payable (AP) team on accruals and invoices
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders for tenant’s payment
  • Liaise with various departments on report submission and review the report accuracy prior to final submission to Management
  • Assist in preparing documentations requested by internal and external auditors
  • Prepare and submit monthly / quarterly reports as required by the Management
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 3-4 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting, candidate with lesser years of experience shall be considered as Officer role
  • Familiar with travel/tourism/hospitality industry
  • Adept knowledge of SUN Accounting Systems and Microsoft Office
  • Able to commit to a fast-paced environment
  • Open to learning new skills
