Job description

WE ART is an award-winning art studio located in the heart of Orchard Road. Our mission is to cultivate creativity in children and adults through immersive art experiences, premium instruction, and cultural expression. We are expanding into Korean, Chinese, and international art programs — and building a flagship reputation for excellence.

To lead this next chapter, we are seeking a highly accomplished Principal & Creative Director with cross-cultural artistic expertise and pedagogical depth.

About the Role

As Principal & Creative Director, you will:

  • Lead the artistic and educational direction of the studio.
  • Design and oversee premium art programs: portfolio prep, Korean art, fine art masterclasses, and international pathways.
  • Teach advanced-level sessions (children & adult), mentor instructors, and shape studio culture.
  • Guide entrance exam prep (e.g. SOTA, NAFA, LaSalle, RISD, Parsons, international portfolio).
  • Produce branded art events, masterclasses, exhibitions, and public engagement.
  • Ensure world-class pedagogy and student results — including portfolio showcases, AR/VR art experiences, art therapy integration, and cross-discipline collaborations (film, storytelling, performance art, etc.).
  • Support brand growth across new studios, media offerings, and online education.
🎓 Ideal Candidate Profile

Master’s or Ph.D. in Fine Arts, Art Education, Visual Communication, or related fields.

(Overseas-trained candidates with proven excellence welcome)

✅ At least 8+ years of teaching experience, including in high-performance art institutions, conservatories, or portfolio programs.

✅ Demonstrated portfolio success, including students admitted into leading arts schools across Asia, Europe, and North America.

✅ Strong understanding of global visual culture — especially Korean, Chinese, European, and Singapore art education traditions.

✅ Experience in curriculum creation, studio leadership, team mentoring, and creative consulting (museum, government, school, or corporate partners a plus).

✅ Proven track record in community building, public speaking, exhibitions, or workshops.

✅ Excellent command of English; bilingual in Korean, Mandarin, or Japanese preferred.
