We operate 3 business segments:

  3. FinTech payments: Overcoming a key challenge for Entrepreneurs by offering digital banking services to new businesses

Sleek launched in 2017 and now has around 15,000 customers across our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and the UK. We have around 500 staff with an intact startup mindset.

We have recently raised Series B financing off the back of >70% compound annual growth in Revenue over the last 5 years. Sleek has been recognised by The Financial Times, The Straits Times, Forbes and LinkedIn as one of the fastest growing companies in Asia.

Backed by world‑class investors, we are on track to be one of the few cash flow positive, tech‑enabled unicorns based out of Singapore.

We are looking for someone that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes over the next 6‑12 months.

Mission

To safeguard the financial integrity of the company by owning the accuracy of the General Ledger and ensuring global compliance and best‑in‑class internal controls.

1. Financial reporting & month‑end close

  • Ensure general ledger is accurate (3BD after month end)
  • Issue the complete management reporting package (5BD after month end)
  • Provide a detailed variance analysis report comparing actual performance against budget and prior periods, with explanations for all variances exceeding 10% (6BD after month end)
  • Sign‑off on all balance sheet account reconciliations (8BD after month end)
2. Multi‑jurisdictional entity consolidation
  • Design and maintain robust consolidation systems and processes (intercompany agreements, transfer pricing policies)
  • Manage financial statements in multiple currencies and ensure accurate translation into group currency; provide insights on the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations on financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
3. Financial systems enhancements

  • Develop and implement best practices for financial reporting within the system
  • Collaborate with IT teams to introduce new features
4. Internal controls & Accounting operations
  • Design, document, and enforce key internal financial controls (e.g., Segregation of Duties, 3‑way matching for payments, authorisation limits) for all processes
  • Maintain and regularly update (at least annually) the Financial Policy and Procedure (P&P) Manual, ensuring staff adherence and alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements

To do this you will have:

  • CPA or CFA or equivalent qualification
  • At least 10 years experience in a Finance‑related role
  • At least 3 years experience in an in‑house Finance role
  • Experience managing others
  • Experience managing an Audit (need not be an ex‑Auditor though)
  • Experience in a startup/ scaleup
  • Experience managing accounting for entities across multiple jurisdictions (including intercompany agreements)
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Behavioural fit is also important at Sleek, and we will be looking for candidates that have a proven track record of embodying the below attributes in their recent roles:

Ownership: This shows reliability and helps build trust within the team. We move fast and need to know that everyone will see things through to completion and proactively help to get things back on track when challenges arise. Accountability is really important to us.

Humility: There is so much we don’t know. Humility allows for open‑mindedness to feedback and a willingness to learn from others. It paves the way for collaboration and creates a positive work environment. It is a key ingredient of self awareness and emotional intelligence.

Can have tough conversations in a positive way: It’s not a matter of if, but when difficult interpersonal situations arise. Disagreement, conflict and disappointment are a given in a fast moving business where people care about their work. People that proactively have tough conversations with kindness build empathy, trust and great working relationships.
