Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Finance staff
- Oversee daily financial operations including AP, AR and GL function.
- Ensure timely month-end closing and accurate preparation of financial reports to management.
- Conduct monthly flux analysis on Profit & Loss and balance sheet to support business performance reviews.
- Responsible for full sets of books for the subsidiary companies.
- Ensure timely prepare of Group Consolidation reports.
- Work closely with HR for payroll payments and its related matters.
- Reviewand submit quarterly GST returns by Accounts Executive and annual corporate tax filings.
- Monitor and manage the Treasury function for smooth cashflow planning.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud.
- Partner with department heads in cross-functional teams to execute initiatives and projects to improve work efficiency.
- Preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing intercompany transactions.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, tax filings and audits.
- Liaise with Corporate Secretary on statutory compliance matters and coordinate with external auditors to support annual audit requirements and regulatory filings.
- Develop and monitor the financial analysis to support business decision making, including forecasting and budgeting planning.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and compliance across functions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or similar certification is a plus).
- 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with XERO and other accounting software is preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering objectives in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines and consistently high standards.
- Meticulousness with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be comfortable with travelling to JB when required.
