Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Bank Reconciliation.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, preparing accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist in statutory reporting, including audit schedules, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
2. System & Process Management
- Maintain and update accounting records in AutoCount Accounting System (experience preferred).
- Review and improve workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with financial policies.
- Generate reports from AutoCount to support management decision-making.
3. Compliance & Internal Control
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards (SFRS/Charity Accounting Standards), and internal controls.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, and banks.
- Support governance requirements for charity/non-profit sector (if applicable).
4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Process payments, staff claims, and petty cash disbursement.
- Manage donation funds, grants, and restricted/unrestricted funds (if charity sector).
5. Administrative & Team Support
- Provide support to management and programme teams on financial queries.
- Mentor junior staff (for Senior Executive role).
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 02–04 years of relevant working experience (Senior Executive: 5+ years).
- Proficiency in AutoCount Accounting System preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Experience in the charity/non-profit sector is an advantage.
- Good understanding of Charity Accounting Standards / Governance Code (for candidates with charity background).
- Strong attention to detail, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
