Job summary

A charity organization in Singapore is seeking a Financial Executive to manage full accounting duties including AR, AP, and treasury management. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-4 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in AutoCount Accounting System is preferred. Job description
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, preparing accurate financial statements and management reports.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in statutory reporting, including audit schedules, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
2. System & Process Management
  • Maintain and update accounting records in AutoCount Accounting System (experience preferred).
  • Review and improve workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with financial policies.
  • Generate reports from AutoCount to support management decision-making.
3. Compliance & Internal Control
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards (SFRS/Charity Accounting Standards), and internal controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, and banks.
  • Support governance requirements for charity/non-profit sector (if applicable).
4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Process payments, staff claims, and petty cash disbursement.
  • Manage donation funds, grants, and restricted/unrestricted funds (if charity sector).
5. Administrative & Team Support
  • Provide support to management and programme teams on financial queries.
  • Mentor junior staff (for Senior Executive role).
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 02–04 years of relevant working experience (Senior Executive: 5+ years).
  • Proficiency in AutoCount Accounting System preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience in the charity/non-profit sector is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Charity Accounting Standards / Governance Code (for candidates with charity background).
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
