Job summary

A leading international school in Singapore is seeking a Finance Executive to manage finance-related matters including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing functions. The ideal candidate should possess at least a Diploma in Accounting and have 3-5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include verifying supplier invoices, managing student billings, and supporting daily finance operations. Applicants should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

  • At least a Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 3 – 5 years’ work experience in finance.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAGE preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in verification of supplier invoices for payment approvals.
  • Perform data entry into accounting systems.
  • Manage students’ billings.
  • Manage procurement for school purchases.
  • Monitor and maintain uniform stock and sales reconciliation monthly.
  • Process refunds for students, if any.
  • Compile and check staff reimbursements.
  • Provide support in school’s daily finance operations.

Job Purpose

The Finance Executive is responsible for handling the finance related matter which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing functions of the school.

Main Duties
  • Assist in verification of supplier invoices to ensure they are correct and valid and obtain relevant parties’ signatures for payment approvals.
  • Perform data entry into accounting systems.
  • Manage students’ billings.
  • Manage procurement for school purchases.
  • Monitor and maintain uniform stock and sales reconciliation monthly.
  • Process refunds for students, if any.
  • Compile and check staff reimbursements.
  • Provide support in school’s daily finance operations.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for the purchasing functions of the School.
  • Act as a back-up and cover the Front Desk duties as and when required.
Requirements
  • At least a Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ work experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAGE preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills especially in dealing with parents and students
