Ab Initio Software Private Limited is seeking a Field Consultant with at least five years’ experience in using Ab Initio Software’s suite of products and assisting businesses in implementing software solutions using those products.

Ab Initio Software LLC in the United States and Ab Initio Software Private Limited, its affiliate in Singapore (collectively, “Ab Initio”), is a privately‑held American software firm with offices across Europe and Asia. The position will be based in Singapore. Ab Initio develops and licenses general purpose data processing software for warehousing, processing, managing, transforming and analysing data. Its customer base includes large commercial banks, financial services businesses, telecommunications companies, and firms in the healthcare, retail, logistics, and manufacturing sectors that need to manage and analyse large amounts of data.

Ab Initio Software Private Limited has an opening for an experienced Field Consultant to provide technical support to the company’s customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ab Initio’s customers in projects using Ab Initio’s software products, particularly in the early phases, to assure the success of those projects.
• Review the software architecture and development plans of Ab Initio’s customers to ensure they are fit for the intended objective.
• Develop proofs of concept (POCs) for Ab Initio customers and potential customers. POCs implement a solution on a representative subset of a customer’s data. POCs are often competitive and are intended to showcase Ab Initio’s ability to provide solutions to a customer’s business needs.
• A Field Consultant should have detailed knowledge of the company’s software products, including the Co‑Operating System, Data Catalog, Quality and Governance tools, Automated Data Pipeline tools, and the Continuous > Flows product.
• Assist customers’ internal development staff and/or system integrators during early phases of a development project using Ab Initio software tools. This sometimes includes delivering training courses.
