About Us

We are a Swiss-owned, international soft commodity trading company with a strong global presence in production, shipping, and storage. Our Singapore office is seeking a dynamic Fertilizer Trader to join our growing global team.

Role Overview

The Fertilizer Trader will report to the Director - Fertilizer and join the global team responsible for managing and expanding our fertilizer trading portfolio, driving profitability, and building strategic relationships across the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full trading cycle for fertilizer commodities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, including manufacturers, suppliers, and agencies in various regions.
  • Produce and update supply / demand forecasts and regular market intelligence reports.
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute both spot and long-term contracts.
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure efficient delivery and execution of trades.
  • Identify and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities across OTC, futures, and physical markets, both locally and internationally.
  • Achieve and exceed business objectives and sales targets through proactive business development and relationship management.
  • Represent the company at industry events and be prepared for international travel and global relocation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in commodity trading, preferably in fertilizers or agricultural products.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record of building businesses.
  • Strong understanding of global fertilizer markets; experience with sulphur, sulphuric acid, or refined petroleum products is an advantage.
  • Solid background in logistics, freight, and operations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and relocate globally.
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen, proactive attitude, and able to build and sustain long-term client relationships.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English with strong presentation and communication skills.
