Responsibilities
- Conceptualise, sketch, and curate commercially viable designs that reflect Dear Lyla’s aesthetics.
- Select fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the brand’s quality and design standards.
- In charge of the entire product design execution process from designing, sampling and fitting to productions and provide valuable feedback and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired silhouette.
- Research and stay updated on fashion trends and customer preferences to curate commercially viable designs.
- Oversee rigorous checks on measurements of products, model stats, and descriptions, to guarantee seamless and timely product listing ahead of launch.
- Enforce a strict production timeline by overseeing all stages - sample creation, product logistics and final photoshoot execution.
- Uphold the brand’s expectation to quality, affordability, and timeless design.
- Liaise and coordinate with manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs and that each deadline is met.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor in Fashion Apparel or Design, or relevant textile/apparel experience in related fields.
- At least 1 year of experience in designing apparel/fashion industry
- Proficient in design sketching and usage of design software. (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other relevant software)
- Strong ability to conceptualise and translate ideas into wearable fashion.
- Deep understanding of fabrics, pattern-making, and garment construction.
- Great passion for the brand and exceptional taste and eye for the latest trends and timeless styles.
- Independent, driven and sociable individual who is eager to learn, daring to grow in a quick pace / start-up environment.
- Proficient in both English and Chinese to articulate design concepts and communicate with manufacturers.
