Job summary

A leading food production company in Singapore is seeking two Central Kitchen Assistant Managers for a two-year contract. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring quality control, and managing staff. Candidates must hold a degree in Food Science, have leadership skills, and be fluent in Japanese. Comfort in cold-room environments is essential. Training will be provided in Japan HQ as part of the contract.

  • Experience in F&B industry is an added advantage.

Job description

Chateraise Singapore is looking for 2 Central Kitchen Assistant Managers (2 years contract)

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring daily smooth operations of the kitchen and oversee the entire production activities
  • Enforce and maintain strict quality control of food production including temperature control of raw materials, preparing and storing food in a safe and hygiene environment
  • Report all non-conformances, discrepancies and/or deviations, and follow-up on the investigation of the non-conformity results with Japan HQ factory.
  • Numerate and with good cost budgeting skills
  • Ordering of raw materials, monitor overall production output levels. manage inventory and conduct regular stock take
  • Manage daily arrivals of raw materials and delivery of finished products
  • Responsible for managing a team of staffs, manpower planning and scheduling
  • Any duties as assigned by the Management from time to time
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Food Science or related discipline
  • Strong leadership, positive in attitude and proactive problem solver
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a cold-room environment, 12°C - 15°C
  • Fluent in oral and written Japanese (JLPT 1) is mandatory to liaise with Japan HQ factory
  • Has a valid food hygiene certificate
  • Experience in F&B industry is an added advantage
  • Able to work 6 days/ week, including weekends and public holidays (8am - 6pm)
  • Location: 10 Chin Bee Drive
  • Qualified candidates will be assigned to undergo a 1-2 months training in our Japan HQ.
