A leading engineering services company in Singapore is looking for an experienced Engineer to manage projects and energy initiatives. Responsibilities include supervising contractors, developing standards for facility projects, and leading maintenance teams for optimal energy management. Candidates should have an engineering degree, possess a valid SCEM Certificate, and have at least 3-5 years of experience in sustainability or green building projects. Strong project management skills and knowledge of regulatory requirements are essential.
Prepare project drawings, specifications and scope-of-work.
Develop standards and design criteria for projects such as the construction and renovation of facilities, facilities improvement and upgrading, office and plant layouts, space planning etc.
Supervise and monitor contractors on M&E projects and maintenance work to ensure that all necessary works shall be accomplished satisfactory while following the Company requirements.
To lead maintenance technician(s) to deliver day-to-day equipment maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and equipment breakdown investigation.
To lead equipment failure investigation, root cause analysis, and initiate necessary corrective and preventive action (CAPA) to avoid future failure.
Plan and supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure minimum disruption to operations.
Prepare and handle all administration and documentation pertaining to manpower and facilities reports.
Interdepartmental coordination to maintain electrical, air conditioning system, centralized chiller system, air compressor/dryers system, etc.
Work with Process/Project Engineers to provide facilities, utilities, and services required for the repair & overhaul processes.
Provides system engineering and technical support to maximize plant reliability, efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor and manage allocated budget effectively.
Execution of Contracts on outsourced Services to ensure fulfilment of contract terms and agreements.
Co‑ordinate with sub‑contract, vendor or local authorities for any installation or system relocation etc.
Participate actively in contributing to HSE development and improvement.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Ensure the local deployment of the Energy Management System (EMS).
Participate in the implementation and deployment of energy performance indicators.
Participate in the presentation of these indicators during the energy management review.
To provide monthly reporting of energy management and sustainable initiatives taken.
To develop and implement energy policies and energy management programme to improve energy efficiency and utilities consumption.
Raise awareness of the energy policy and objectives on the site (managers, employees, service providers, etc.).
Participate in the exchanges of the Energy network (best practices, feedback, studies, etc.) at company and Group level.
Be a driving force behind proposals to improve energy performance (improving technical skills, technical monitoring, subsidies, training, etc.)
Participate in the internal audit process of the energy standard.
Diploma/Degree in Engineering or any other related disciplines.
The candidate must possess a valid Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) Certificate.
Minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
Experience in delivering sustainability projects, green building projects, or in a related role.
Knowledge of MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint & AutoCAD.
Knowledge in ISO 5000 Energy Management System Standard
Strong project management skills
Familiarity with local regulatory health & safety requirements.
Good understanding and experience with predictive maintenance and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) will be an added advantage.
