Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate claims management and reporting to clients and Business Units.
  • Ensure claimable expenses are billed accurately and timely.
  • Perform client account reconciliations, identifying variances and ageing risks.
  • Monitor claims ageing and non-payment trends, proactively following up.
  • Investigate and resolve claims-related queries.
  • Support achievement of monthly AR and claims KPIs.
  • Provide guidance to team members on queries.
  • Represent Claims function in KPI reviews.
  • Engage and manage key stakeholders professionally.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with teams.
  • Participate or lead assigned projects as necessary.

Job Summary

Deliver timely, accurate, and reliable claims management and reporting to clients and Business Units, while maintaining strong control discipline, ageing integrity, and stakeholder accountability. The role operates as a senior individual contributor with day-to-day people guidance responsibilities, supporting team effectiveness, quality outcomes, and consistent control standards.

General Responsibilities (Core Accountability)
  • Ensure claimable expenses are billed accurately and within contractual or agreed timelines, supported by clear documentation and audit trails.
  • Perform regular client account reconciliations, identifying variances, unbilled items, and potential ageing risks early.
  • Monitor claims ageing, non-payment trends, and irregularities, and proactively follow up with clients, Business Units, and internal teams to drive resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve claims-related queries through structured root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
  • Review L and J balances at month-end, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely clearance where applicable.
  • Support achievement of monthly AR and claims KPIs, including preparation of analysis and management commentary when required.
  • Provide structured guidance to team members on client and BU queries, ensuring consistency in messaging, controls, and resolution approach.
  • Represent the Claims function in monthly AR KPI reviews and quarterly roll calls, presenting clear status updates, risks, and follow-up actions.
  • Engage and manage key stakeholders, including clients, Business Units, and internal Finance teams, with professionalism, clarity, and appropriate firmness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, automation, and use of AI, RPA, or ERP enhancements, in collaboration with the Manager and relevant teams.
  • Participate in or lead assigned projects, ensuring alignment with Finance governance, risk standards, and departmental priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Credit Control Manager.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
Leadership Responsibilities (Senior Executive)
  • Act as a day-to-day reference point within the Claims team, supporting work prioritisation, quality checks, and issue resolution.
  • Provide basic coaching and guidance to junior team members on claims handling, stakeholder communication, and control discipline.
  • Review selected work outputs for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, escalating material risks where required.
  • Support the Manager in maintaining team discipline, consistency, and delivery standards, particularly during peak periods.
  • Demonstrate leadership through ownership, accountability, and sound judgement without formal people management authority.

This role does not carry formal supervisory or appraisal responsibility but requires strong peer leadership and people judgement.

Job Requirements

Skills & Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel); working knowledge of SAP AR processes; understanding of claims lifecycle, AR ageing, and dispute resolution.

Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, analytical, clear communicator, able to balance service delivery with control discipline in a deadline-driven environment.

Language: Proficient in English; Mandarin preferred.

Behavioural Traits: Ownership mindset, reliability, willingness to guide others, adaptable to change and automation.

Education: Minimum Diploma or GCE ‘A’ Level, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
