A leading semiconductor manufacturing firm in Singapore seeks a skilled engineer to manage equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in a cleanroom environment. With at least 5 years of experience, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and have hands-on expertise in managing photolithography or metrology tools. Strong project management and data analysis skills are essential for this role, which demands a focus on equipment productivity and quality improvement.
Create Equipment PM checklists, CM checklists and all maintenance related procedures and compliance with CSR,
EHS, QM, ESD, 6S standard and cleanroom protocol
Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and repair equipment for 24/7 operation support
Maintain optimum utilization of equipment and resources and constantly review methods of OEE management to
reduce tool downtime and increase equipment throughput with safety, quality and maintain good 6S
Liaise with equipment vendors and spare parts suppliers continuously to develop new methods to achieve low cost
maintenance system for cost reduction, weed out unwarranted expenses/wastages, improve equipment performance
Set-up SPC for equipment critical parameters monitoring and control
Incorporate efficient methods of maintaining new equipment or plant and may be involved in the installation and
commissioning process.
Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
Drive the team of Technicians to participate in all continuous improvement projects related to OEE improvement
Plan & undertake scheduled maintenance & develop methods for predictive maintenance
Work on improvement projects with process engineers and across modules to assure continuous reliability of
production equipment and processes to achieve high equipment productivity, quality and low downtime.
Formulate with process engineering team on all equipment control procedures and troubleshoot on machine related
defects and quality issues and prevention systems
Participate in AMF IP and Know-How Reward Scheme projects
Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project progress and/or the specific goals of the
division.
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Material / Chemical or similar Engineering field or equivalent minimum 5 years working experience in the field of Photolithography or Metrology Equipment Engineering.
Hands‑on experience in photolithography or metrology equipment troubleshooting CM and PM, engineering methods for equipment controls and OEE improvement.
Practical knowledge and understanding of 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom operation environment.
Strong knowledge and experience in engineering troubleshooting and parts repair in maintaining Litho or Metro tools are preferred, such as Nikon scanners, TEL tracks, Hitachi CDSEM, KLA Archer OVL, Electrical/Optical tester, Thermawave Optiprobe, Rudolph Firefly or KLA defect scanner, Stylus Profilometer, Microscope, Sorter, EVG/SVG litho tools.
SPC/FDC/RTM/FMEA/8D/6S/Risk Assessment knowledge, preferably from wafer fab and with expertise in equipment & basic photolithography process knowledge and with an eye for detail.
Strong project management skills, accountable and takes ownership, ability to multi‑task and prioritize and sense of urgency.
Strong data analysis, problem‑solving skill, and eagerness for learning different tools type to maintain and troubleshoot.
Must be able to work on 8 hours normal or swing shift (5 days week: either Sunday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Saturday).
MS Office and computer skills literate.
