Job description

• Plan from monthly to yearly plan and toolbox meeting topics with record-keeping.
• Conduct inspection in adherence to WSH(General Provision) and (Construction) Regulations into ensuring all equipment, machine, tools, safety provisions & PPEs are in compliance.
• Ensure safety polices and standards are being maintained and employees are abiding workplace safety rules and safe work practices reference to WSH(Risk Management) Regulations.
• Plan regime on safety inspections and safety observation tours in accordance to schedule in ensuring all production activities are carried out in accordance to the company protocal.
• Keep and maintain on safety administration both on filing and online portal on risk assessment, safe work procedures, safety inspection reports, toolbox meeting records, permits-to-work, licenses, training certificates, safety plans and other safety records/documentations.
• Carry out safety investigation of any workplace accident/ incident and prepare evaluation report with identification of roots causes and introduce implementation of the neccessary corrective and preventive measures thereafter enforce on the mitigation actions.
• Communicate effectively with ground staff & workers and advocate or promote on good safety practices; similary carry on safety promotional activities and business continuity events.
• Monitor on rates and trend of vehicular accidents consisting of heavy vehicles and transport machine (loaders or forklifts) and intervene from time-to-time basis to highlight irregularities for reporting purposes and improvement actions. Report in accordance to company protocol.
• Other roles and responsibilities as a WSH Coordinator( job scope specifications under MOM).
• Other roles and responsibilities as instructed by the superior under Human Resource policies.
• Degree / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• Must process WSQ Advance Certificate in WSH(Level B).
• Experience in industries: construction, manufacturing, logistics and/ or ready-mixed concrete.
• Process strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health(WSH) Act and Regulations.
• Independent and be able to command safety instructions to ground oersonnel.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
• Advantage to have and be able to adapt fast to new initiatives and implementations on grounds of technology to the aspects of AI(Artifical Intelligence); and on the areas of technology and digitalisation, able to tap on resources of using technology and AI, generate forms, reports, dashboards for purposes of recording, presentation and reporting.
