Job summary

A leading global technology services company in Singapore is looking for an Engineer, R&D (CMF) to oversee the industrialization of Color, Material, and Finishing for consumer and industrial products. The role involves developing cosmetic finishes and collaborating with vendors throughout the product development cycle. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in CMF and mechanical design.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of CMF experience preferred.
• Experience working with Vendors.
• Familiarity with painting, Anodising, silk-printing.

We’re looking to add an Engineer, R&D (CMF) in Singapore.

Industrialization of Color, Material, Finishing (CMF) for consumer/industrial product. Work with customer and vendors to develop state of the art cosmetic finishes.

The position is based in our HQ at Ang Mo Kio.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the industrialization of Color, Material, Finishing (CMF) for consumer/industrial product.
• Perform industrialization of CMF from conceptual design/prototype to mass production.
• Work with the R&D team and part suppliers throughout the product development cycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Explore and develop cosmetic finishing processes with vendors.
• Support mechanical product design in areas of plastic injection parts and sheet metal stamping parts.
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
• Lead project discussions as and when required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3~5 yrs. of CMF experience.
• Prefer Mechanical Design Engineers with 5~8 yrs of experience (especially working with Vendors).
• May consider Quality Assurance background/ ME procurement background.
• Strong knowledge and experience in painting, Anodising, silk-printing, IMD, VM and other seconding processes preferred.
• Plastic/ Metal parts design background with good understanding of appearance/cosmetic requirement.
• Understanding of plastic Injection, metal die casting, metal stamping are added advantages.
• Familiarity with CAD tools like Pro Engineer and Solid Designer.
