Job summary

A leading engineering services company in Singapore is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in engineering and be able to work independently. Key responsibilities include maintaining electrical panels and performing instrument calibration. Qualifications

  • At least 0–2 years experience in electrical maintenance or instrumentation work.
  • Experience in industrial environment, M&E, construction, or electrical is acceptable.
  • Hands-on skills in troubleshooting & calibration of electrical & instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels, motors, PLC systems, sensors, and field instruments.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, P&ID diagrams, and wiring schematics.
  • Conduct calibration of sensors, transmitters, flowmeters, pressure gauges, and temperature instruments.

Job description
1. Job Description / Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels, motors, PLC systems, sensors, and field instruments.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, P&ID diagrams, and wiring schematics.
  • Perform cable termination, wiring, testing, and commissioning of electrical & instrumentation equipment.
  • Conduct calibration of sensors, transmitters, flowmeters, pressure gauges, and temperature instruments.
  • Support E&I project works, including site installation, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance reports, checklists, and technical documentation.
2. Requirements
Education:
  • Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Communication Engineering
Experience:
  • At least 0–2 years experience in electrical maintenance OR instrumentation work
  • Experience in industrial environment, M&E, construction, or electrical is acceptable
  • Hands‑on skills in troubleshooting & calibration of electrical & instrumentation systems
Technical Skills to list:
  • Knowledge of PLC systems

Other Requirements:
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
