Job description

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Working days: 5 days (Monday - Friday)
Location: Tuas
Basic Salary: $4300 - $4800

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for electrical and instrumentation systems
• Troubleshoot E&I faults in low-voltage single-phase and three-phase systems.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and complete maintenance reports.
• Manage electrical spares, drives, and parameter backups to reduce downtime.
• Maintain E&I documentation including procedures, risk assessments, SLDs, and maintenance records.
• Support operation and maintenance of three-phase generators interfaced with grid power.
• Coordinate MV and 22kV preventive maintenance with PE and external service providers.
• Review and update electrical schematics, specifications, and drawings as required.
• Guide technicians and contractors in troubleshooting ACMV, CCTV, access control, PA, power, and lighting systems.
• Oversee material management, service reviews, 5S practices, and coordination with clients and authorities.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation work, preferably within a large-scale industrial or engineering environment.
• Proficient in CAD, CMMS, and engineering design tools.
• Hands on troubleshooting sensors, actuator valve and transmitters.
• Knowledge of preparing detailed E&I design (e.g., circuit and schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, MCC layouts, cable routes etc.).
• Knowledge of providing PLC Ladder Diagram and troubleshooting.
