Electrical Engineer – Chemical Plant
- Location: Jurong Island, Singapore (Company Transport Provided)
- Salary: S$3,500 – S$4,500/month (commensurate with experience)
- Employment: Full-Time, Permanent
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the electrical equipment replacement schedule.
- Perform root cause analyses for equipment failures and prepare reports.
- Recommend and implement modifications to enhance performance and safety.
- Oversee scheduled maintenance and respond to urgent electrical issues.
- Improve SOPs to boost energy efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage preventive maintenance, including annual substation shutdowns.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, manage inventory, and support risk assessments.
- Supervise contractors, review service proposals, and monitor execution.
- Manage budgets and optimize material expenditure.
- Evaluate vendor contracts and conduct audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a chemical plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes and ESH regulations.
- Proficient in computer applications and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-disciplined, resourceful, and strategic planner.

- Experience with electrical systems and preventive maintenance in chemical plants.
- Skilled in contractor management and vendor performance evaluation.
