Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for an Educational Therapist/Teacher/Trainee for a permanent position. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lessons for groups of 5 to 6 students.
  • Assess students at least twice a year.

  • Monitor students' academic progress and write reports.
  • Conduct Meet-the-Parents sessions twice a year.
  • Engage in curriculum design and development.
  • Participate in awareness talks and training.

Job description

  • Position: Educational Therapist/Teacher/Trainee (June Intake)

  • Location: Bedok/Bishan/Chua Chu Kang/Henderson/Jurong Point/Parkway Parade/Rex/Sengkang/Serangoon/Tampines/Woodlands/Yishun.

  • Working Hours: 4 Week Days + 1 Weekend (Roster Hours)

  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3520 + AWS + Performance Bonus + 14 Days Annual Leave

  • Duration: Permanent

  • Industry: Social/Educational/Special Needs


Main Responsibilities


  • Conduct lessons in a group setting (5 to 6 students in a class).

  • Conduct assessments at least twice a year in a group setting.

  • Develop teaching methods and instructional materials that meet young learners’ varying needs.

  • Monitor the academic progress of the students.

  • Write progress reports, share information and discuss issues relating to students’ learning progress with parents during the school terms.

  • Conduct Meet-the-Parents sessions at the end of each semester (twice a year).

  • Be involved in the conduct of awareness talks and training courses.

  • Be engaged in curriculum and resource design and development, action research and pilot studies.

  • Participate in any other duties as assigned.


Requirements


  • Degree from a recognised institution or university, in any discipline.

  • Relevant teaching experience in mainstream schools will be an advantage.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekday evenings (4 week nights per week) and weekends.
