Assistant Manager (Purchasing & Planning, Manufacturing)
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies, and procedures in the trading business.
- Support the Purchasing Planning Manager in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather purchasing requirements and create purchase orders.
- Monitor and manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
- Utilize SAP system to process purchase requisitions, track inventory levels, and generate reports.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Assist in supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
- Provide support in executing strategic sourcing initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Prior experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a trading business.
- Proficiency in SAP or other procurement software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
