Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual to translate engineers' ideas into detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and preferably experience with Microstation. The role includes liaising with vendors and clients, preparing and modifying engineering and shop drawings, and maintaining proper indexing and storage of drawings. Qualifications

Job description

1. Translate the ideas and rough sketches of engineers and architects into detailed drawings.
2. Responsible for all drafting and preparation of drawing
3. Prepare design /proposal drawings to specifications set by requirements
4. Ensure that all drawings are done in accordance with the company's quality procedure
5. Ensure that drawings are being checked to the highest quality standard to meet customer's expectation
6. Produce all required drawings and details for submission to authorities, Client, and Consultants from design intent and information, specifications, and in accordance with good industry practice.
7. Assist, prepare and update construction /shop drawings and combined services drawings for consultants’ submission and approval
8. Check and verify drawings for conformity and accuracy to identify and prevent potential conflict among all disciplines.
9. Incorporate data from topographical surveys and geophysical reports to prepare drawings
10. Ensure drawings are numbered in sequence with all revisions
11. Ensure drawings are being controlled and transmitted
12. Liaise with vendors and clients to ensure specifications are met
13. Interpret Architectural and Structural drawings and prepare RFI's where needed
14. Site-coordination, project drawings, and general arrangement drawing
15. Backup copies of engineering drawings into the server
16. Schedule and monitoring program activity to achieve on-time result including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items
17. Work out on material take-offs from all engineering drawing
18. Liaise with customers and vendors and management of material
19. Assist in preparation or modification of reports and specifications
20. To create construction layout/detail under direction from Design Manager/Design Engineer
21. Prepare and revise engineering drawings, shop drawings, details, sections, charts, and similar documents as directed
22. Timely completion of construction layout /detail
23. Ensure the proper indexing, filing, and storage of drawings in both hard-copy and electronic media
24. To keep and update drawing revisions and drawing register
25. Preparation of submission drawings complying with various authorities’ guidelines

Experience / Skill Required

• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software is a MUST
• Experienced with Microstation.
• Knowledge of Bentley AECOSIM would be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with people at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure and at a very tight work schedule
