Job description

1. Responsible for production of shop drawings and detailed construction issues;
2. In charge of all drawing development required by the project;
3. Prepares detailed as-built/shop drawings for submission and interior fit-out works/construction;
4. Prepares drawings accurately from oral instructions, rough sketches and notes, calculations, dimensions for construction or building works;
5. Maintains, updates and makes amendments to drawings as needed;
6. Performs site checking to ensure proper dimension, connection and detail for fabrication;
7. Analyses and interprets changes to drawings;
8. Ensures the drawings comply with specifications and company standards;
9. Understands the project scope and requirements in the preparation of detailed shop drawings ensuring that the drawings are easily understood by the project teams;
10. Ensures the proper indexing, filing and storage of drawings in both hardcopy and electronic media;
11. Manages multiple projects concurrently and accurately in a timely manner through workload prioritisation;
12. Prepares documents and transmittal form for submissions;
13. Consults with key personnel in the project planning on necessary details in the preparation of drawings;
14. Studies drawings and other pertinent papers in preparation for fabrication or erection drawings;
15. Ensures that all materials are detailed and accounted for in erection drawings;
16. Collaborates with quality supervisor to guarantee adherence to specification;
17. Explains drawings to production or project teams and provide adjustments as necessary;
18. Any other duties as may be assigned.
