Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Director – Shipping & Logistics with extensive expertise in liquid cargo transportation to lead and drive regional logistics operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience across South East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, and the Middle East, with a proven ability to manage complex logistics networks, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and executive leadership for shipping and logistics operations, with a focus on liquid cargo transportation
  • Oversee regional transportation networks, fleet operations, terminal coordination, and supply chain performance
  • Formulate and execute long-term business strategies to expand market presence and profitability
  • Build and manage high-level relationships with shipping lines, terminal operators, regulators, and key clients
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime, safety, environmental, and local regulations
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, cost optimization, and P&L management
  • Drive operational excellence, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior leadership and operational teams
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Deep expertise in liquid cargo logistics, including petroleum products, chemicals, or edible oils
  • Strong knowledge of regional and international shipping regulations
  • Proven leadership in transportation management, fleet operations, and terminal handling
  • Strategic thinking with strong commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of financial and operational acumen
  • Excellent decision‑making and leadership capabilities
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the shipping and logistics industry
  • Mandatory operational and leadership experience across South East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, and the Middle East
  • Demonstrated experience in liquid cargo transportation is essential
  • Added advantage: Prior experience as Head of Business / Country Head in any South East Asia country
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marine Studies, Business Administration, or a related field
