Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for leading the Board and focusing it on strategic matters, overseeing the Group’s business, and setting high governance standards. They play a pivotal role in fostering the effectiveness of the Board and individual Directors, both inside and outside the boardroom.

The Director is responsible for:

  1. Leading, chairing, and overseeing the performance of the Board, creating the conditions necessary for overall Board and individual director effectiveness;
  2. Ensuring effective communication with the Association Members and chairing General Meetings;
  3. Promoting and overseeing the highest standards of corporate governance within the Board and the Group;
  4. Leading the Board in discussions of proposals from the executive team, including strategy, risk management, governance, capital, financial reporting, and M&A activities;
  5. Setting an agenda focused on strategic matters, forward-looking, and overseeing the Group’s businesses;
  6. Ensuring the Board complies with the schedule of matters reserved;
  7. Fostering open, inclusive discussions that challenge executives where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of work experience in a dynamic environment, with large managerial or operational experience being a plus;
  • Demonstrated success in leading and growing organizations;
  • Highly desirable: an MBA or equivalent degree;
  • Experience in B2B e-commerce.
