What the day will look like
  • Help drive the Marine Facultative book in Asia
  • Drive the Marine placement strategy for all Marine lines in Asia
  • Assist in driving the Marine pipelines/processes and delivery in Asia
  • Build and foster rapport with insurers and reinsurers in order to develop leads and opportunities as well as market intelligence to ensure that Aon obtains the best deals available for our clients
  • Service a portfolio of accounts from the Aon regional network offices in Asia
  • Support placement of Global Business into the Asia Insurance Market
  • Support on claims advocacy as and when required
  • Contribute to Aon's initiatives in general as required
  • To maintain smooth and harmonious working relationships with client, their In‑house insurance/reinsurance and broking team, various ceding companies, various insurance service providers and Aon Specialty and servicing teams worldwide
  • To perform excellent technical work in the following areas:
    • analysis and management of underwriting information.
    • assist in the preparation of client and market presentations (renewal, roadshows and Risk Management presentations)
    • assist in the review policy wording, cover notes and related documents;
  • Quarterly schedule of renewals and new business targets
  • Manage stewardship reports, renewal reports and claim status reports
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and operational procedures/processes
  • Continuously align Aon's range of services to support client's strategic objectives
  • Performing other duties and tasks as reasonably assigned by the Company
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with Risk and Insurance Management/Business related curriculum preferred
  • At least 8 years Marine experience in a reinsurance or insurance broking company
  • In‑depth working knowledge of the insurance business and the clients’ needs as well as all major lines of business
  • A team player who is able to multi‑task in a highly pressurized environment and willingness to travel
  • Effective problem solving, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Good relationship development skills, in dealings with both internal and external customers and stakeholders
