  • Monitor various media channels, including print, online, broadcast, and social media, for relevant mentions of the organisation, competitors, industry trends, or key topics.
  • Use media monitoring tools and software to gather data and automate alerts for news coverage.
2. Content Analysis
  • Evaluate media coverage to determine sentiment (positive, negative, neutral), tone, and relevance.
  • Assess the impact of media mentions on brand reputation or public perception.
3. Reporting and Insights
  • Compile detailed reports and dashboards that summarise media findings, often presented as metrics like media reach, audience impressions, share of voice, or sentiment analysis.
  • Offer actionable insights based on media analysis to support strategic decision-making.
4. Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with PR, marketing, or communications teams to align monitoring activities with organisational goals.
  • Provide insights to help shape communication strategies, campaigns, or crisis management responses.
5. Crisis Monitoring
  • Monitor for potential reputational risks, crises, or negative coverage that may require immediate attention.
  • Provide real-time updates and assessments during crises to support decision-making.
6. Competitor and Industry Analysis
  • Track competitor media presence and compare it against the organisation’s media performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, or public sentiment that may affect the organisation.
