Overview

Our client has a strong track record of providing tech resources to the local government and is now looking for a DevSecOps engineer to integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle while managing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure within the public cloud environment. This role blends development, security, and operations expertise to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable system deployments, supporting government cloud initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Implement and maintain security controls across the CI/CD pipeline, including automated security scans, vulnerability assessments, and compliance monitoring aligned with government standards
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, ensuring secure configurations, scalability, resource optimisation, and cost efficiency within the public cloud environment
• Build, maintain, and optimise continuous integration and deployment pipelines with embedded security gates and automated testing to enable rapid, secure software delivery
• Monitor systems for security events, analyse logs, respond to incidents, and implement remediation strategies to maintain system integrity
• Ensure compliance with government security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements through audits, documentation, and continuous improvements

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure management, and CI/CD pipeline development
• Strong expertise in automated security testing, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and cloud platforms
• Knowledge of government security frameworks, compliance requirements, and GCC2.0 standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with development and security teams
