Job summary

A creative design agency in Singapore is seeking a Design Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in managing design projects, preferably in retail design. Job Title: Design Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in a creative agency that works on retail design projects and preferably has background in Retail Marketing or Visual Merchandising. You will be the key liaison between our clients and technical teams, ensuring that design concepts are clearly understood and flawlessly executed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee end-to-end design projects from concept to completion.
  • Act as a key bridge between clients, internal designers, and technical/production teams.
  • Understand and interpret design briefs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project goals.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, present concepts, and manage feedback.
  • Provide creative input during brainstorming and project development phases.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resources to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensure the design execution meets quality standards and client expectations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in design project management.
  • Experience working in a creative agency with retail-related projects is strongly preferred.
  • Background in retail marketing &/or visual merchandising is a plus.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand design concepts and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written as candidate needs to communicate with China staff).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Familiar with retail display elements, store layout, and customer experience design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PS, and/or other related design software.
  • Comfortable in client-facing roles and cross-functional team environments.
