Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contract negotiations and administration. The ideal candidate will have a degree in building or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in main contracting companies. Responsibilities include preparing cost comparisons, liaising with sub-contractors, and ensuring timely contract claims. This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years experience as Contract Manager in main contractors.
  • Proven ability in managing contract variations and negotiations.
  • Experience in Mixed-Development or Healthcare projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze cost comparisons.
  • Liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Measure quantities and take off for accurate progress claims.
  • Ensure prompt submission of progressive claims to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze cost comparison
  • Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
  • Works closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Client / Client Representatives and Sub-Contractors to accurately arrive with progress claims and variation claims.
  • Deals with contractual issues between main contractor and client, and those between main contractor and sub-contractors
  • Ensures progressive claims are promptly put up to the client through accurate measurement of actual works accomplished
  • Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
  • All other QS relatedjob
Job Requirements
  • Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent
  • 8 years and aboveexperience as Contract Manager in main-con companies
  • Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
  • Preferable experiences in Mixed-Development or Healthcare related projects
  • Able to work independently, bemeticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
  • 5 Days work week
