We are representing our client, a leading service provider offering IT solutions services, to look for an experienced Manager to lead the UI/UX team for the government sector BU. Reporting to the regional delivery team, this role is responsible for leading the UI/UX team, driving user engagement and discovery, and facilitating client workshops to shape human-centred digital services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a project-based UI/UX team (2 designers), providing direction, quality oversight, and coaching.
  • Own the end-to-end experience approach across assigned public sector initiatives.
  • Ensure experience outcomes are aligned with user needs, business objectives, and delivery constraints.
  • Plan and lead user discovery activities, including interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing, and synthesis.
  • Translate research insights into clear experience directions, journeys, and design recommendations.
  • Advocate for user-centred decision-making with both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops with public sector clients.
  • Act as a trusted experience advisor to client teams, guiding conversations around user needs, trade-offs, and experience quality.
  • Partner closely with delivery, product, and technology teams to ensure experience work is practical, buildable, and well-integrated.
  • Manage experience scope, priorities, and expectations across multiple stakeholders.
  • Support governance, reviews, and client communications related to experience work.
  • Contribute to the growth and maturity of the local experience practice in Singapore.
  • Support mentoring and capability uplift of designers within the team.
  • Align local delivery with regional (Australia) standards, expectations, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in UX / service design / experience design roles, preferrably in vendor environment.
  • Proven experience leading designers in project or programme settings.
  • Strong background in user research and discovery, with the ability to synthesise insights into clear direction.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops with clients, including senior stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering complex digital initiatives, ideally within public sector, government, or regulated environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
