A leading appliance retailer in Singapore is looking for a dedicated Delivery Assistant. The ideal candidate should be physically fit to handle heavy loads and perform simple installations of appliances. Responsibilities include checking products for delivery, collecting payments, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Working days will include weekdays and public holidays with a gross salary between $2500 to $4000 monthly.

Job description

Delivery assistant is required to pick and check that correct products are loaded into vehicle for delivery.

Core responsibilities

1. Collection, consolidation and arranging of goods in the warehouse and ensure the items is correct
2. Ensure the products are loaded before delivery.
3. Keep the vehicle clean and safe
4. Collect payments from the customer at the time of delivery of the product.
5. Perform the product set-up for the customer, including disposal, if any.
6. Work with the support team to provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns.
7. Perform vehicle inspection before and after each trip
8. Ensure various documentation is accurate and handed over to the warehouse Manager
9. Ready to stand in for any jobs assigned to ensure job fulfilment
10. To comply with the policies and procedures of the Company.
11. Report any accidents or injuries to Supervisors immediately.

Requirements

• Physically fit as required to carry many heavy loads (such as washing machines, refrigerators etc.) throughout the day.
• Able to do some simple installation of electrical and electronic appliances.
• Able to speak / understand basic English
• Able to work on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
• Off-in-lieu when working on public holidays.
• Some relevant working experience in store/warehouse environment will be an added advantage
• Must be willing to work overtime which might end as late as 12 midnight.
• Able to commence work immediately within short notice

Probation Duration: 3 Months (Extension of 3 months for poor performance)

Working Hours:

• 9:30am to 6:30pm are normal working hours.
• 6:30pm to as late as 12 midnight are night delivery hours if assigned for night delivery duties by warehouse managers.

Working Days:

• Staff is required to work from Mondays to Sundays, including public holidays:
• Number of off days per month: 6
• Alternate weeks will work 6 days instead of 5 day work week i.e. work 5 days this week, work 6 days next week, work 5 days the following week, so on and so forth.

Salary Components:

• Basic Salary $1,600 + Delivery Incentives based on points system + Attendance Allowance (After Confirmation)
• Gross monthly salary is between $2500 to $4000 on average (inclusive of employee contributions to individual CPF account)
